Erik will bring his own microphone (Schoeps CMC6, microphone with the MK41super-cardioid capsule.) He will need one short boom stand. No monitor is needed (don't forget the chair) and you're DONE!

Show Description:

Erik Friedlander performs original music, shows images and films, and tells stories. He sits on piano bench, with a laptop nearby, playing the cello and cuing images/films using a laptop and a MIDI foot- pedal.

Show length: 55 mins.

Sound:

Misc Sound: Sound tech should have the ability to cue sound from sound board for one short segment -- i.e., play file using iTunes if necessary. Please provide reverb for cello microphone.

front, high side and back light on your cello area; focused high enough to cover you when you stood but staying off screen so image not washed out
3 looks:
  • 1) brighter, saturation - to highlight you when you were playing without image
  • 2) dimmer look to not distract the eye from the image
  • 3) added front light for when you stood up to talk
