Sound:
Mics & Lines
The sound package is straight-forward: 2 mics, 3 lines, decent "Hall" reverb for cello line. The sound tech should be prepared to adjust reverb between pieces for special fx. The sound tech should have the ability to cue sound from sound board for one short segment -- i.e., play file using iTunes if necessary.
- 1 XLR line for mic (I will bring my own Schoeps Mic.)
- 1 Mini-plug line from laptop for sound (top of the show only.)
- 1 Wireless Headset Mic.
- 1 Short mic stand.
Lighting:
Notes on lighting:
The basic look has front, high side and back light on the cello area. The lighting is focused high enough to cover me when I stand to speak but does not splash the screen so the images are not washed out by lighting. As I move through the show there will be 3 basic subtle variations on the basic look.
3 looks:
- 1) a brighter, saturation - to highlight me when I am playing without images
- 2) a dimmer look to not distract the eye from the image
- 3) a look with added front light for when I stand up to talk
The lighting is fluid sometimes moving from one look to another within pieces.
